His (their?) response was something like “yeah I broke the trophy, but Eurovision is broken too.”
Their is correct and that statement is as well.
My wife said they broke their thumb too.
My kiddo was like, “I didn’t know the trophy comes apart,” and I said, “I don’t think it does!” Rewound back and, yeah, that’s broken.
