        No, I’m serious - Russia and Belarus does the same thing with the same simulated targets with their Zapad exercises, and so does China.

        It is common and uncontroversial to conduct military exercises with an eye towards situations relevant to geopolitical adversaries. It’s simply prudent strategically-minded training. I’m genuinely asking if you think it’s ok that Russia and/or China (or anyone else either friendly or antagonistic to the US or the west writ large or Russia or China or India, etc) to conduct exercises of this nature, but somehow it’s verboten for certain countries or alliances to do so. Because the latter would be a blatant double standard.
