Title. My bin overwintered pretty well in my Zone 6a garage, so I’m a happy worm farmer.
Not yet. I’ve just restarted my compost after my wife killed the last lot by accidentally contaminating it. I’m planning a worm hunt with the kids in the family on the weekend :)
Enjoy! My kids get very excited by all the worms and enjoy “feeding” them.
I don’t flip mine often enough, but I’m always happy to see a bunch of squirmy buds every time I do. I’ve been toying with the idea of intentionally farming worms for castings, but that’s also one more thing on the pile of Things I’d Like To Do
Dude, you gotta remove the produce stickers!
I thought they, and their glue, were supposed to be compostable?
Definitely not. I bought a truckload of compost a couple of years ago and as I was shoveling into my raised bed, I picked out hundreds of them
Thanks! We compost a ton at home, and I have seen a few, but I always assumed they were on the top of the pile.
