Another aspect is that “some of the more tedious tasks” already had tons of ways to be sped up but the brain-dead LLM pushers had never actually tried to optimize their workflows before and thought LLMs would make them be as good as their much more competent peers without actually learning anything.

A note: I couldn’t find -/ referenced online easily though when I checked it is indeed there. On Mac nano redirects to pico by default which doesn’t have that either. I think it’s understandable someone would just choose to use micro

It’s not new, but you’re wrong about personal data not factoring in. Companies will absolutely try to low ball you if you’re unemployed, or offer you less if you volunteer your current salary, or offer you more if you’re getting other offers.

This new stuff is a problem because they’re going to end up colluding through software just like landlords and it should obviously be illegal but they’ll get away with it until people catch on and the law catches up, or forever depending on location.

They probably should have made it actually work on PC if they wanted it to sell. Now that I’ve skipped it because it was poorly optimized and they kept not fixing it, it is officially in the “maybe buy on sale after whatever expansion they do” bucket. Iirc it also has denuvo which is a hard pass for single player games. I might would forgive it on something online like monster hunter but it’s still another negative point on the “will I buy it” chart
