It’s like culture-jamming. By ruining the experience of selling EVs for other dealerships, Tesla can encourage the already rampant suspicion among other companies’ sales staff that EVs are unsellable or just not worth the hassle.
If Tesla gets called out for it, all the better. If they’re severely punished, better still! They can use those headlines to prove in other markets that they are the target of unfair investigations abroad, which helps the CEO’s political ambitions.
Yeah, the automotive chessboard is real confusing right this minute.
The company already owned the cars, boss :) Tesla the car manufacturer and Tesla the car dealership are both the same company, that single company is publicly traded under the symbol $TSLA.
