Just your normal everyday casual software dev. Nothing to see here.
People can share differing opinions without immediately being on the reverse side. Avoid looking at things as black and white. You can like both waffles and pancakes, just like you can hate both waffles and pancakes.
been trying to lower my social presence on services as of late, may go inactive randomly as a result.

The game while fun suffered the same exact issue that Wild Gate did, where any new player trying to join in gets smothered.
There just was way too much power difference between items that you have at the beginning of the game and items that you gain at the end of the game. Combined with a relatively low player count, meaning that you can’t really have skill-based or level based matchmaking, just cold cuts your new players

This right here is my only complaint about my motorola. I wish that the UI looks sleeker because I have yet to find anything except for Apple that remotely comes close to the sleekness of Samsung’s One UI.

I dropped Samsung after the combo hit of removing thr micro sd card slot and preinstallation of Facebook. Went Motorola G stylus and was mindbown by the performance on it. I have no idea why I was paying 1.2k on my devices, this one is third to half the price and does everything without the bloat. Makes me wish I had done this a couple years ago instead of repeatedly cycling through S20s that were just lemons. would have probably saved myself some money.

I believe the same for the graphics, I just couldn’t vibe with it. Everything else I didn’t mind but the graphics I couldn’t do

you’ve already given your money you can’t do much more than that. might as well play it

I’m honestly surprised that since there was no plan for a little big planets 4, and a little big planet 3 had 1, 2, and 3, that they didn’t just release only the levels data, that way that people could run fan services.
It wouldn’t really cost all that much extra because they would only have to keep the data available for a week or two, and then the community would then keep it alive via torrents or their own off-site storage.

boils down to it depends.
in my area, particularly we have paper ballots that then get read by the digital machines, so if there’s any type of question about the legitimacy of it, there’s the paper trail to follow.

Honestly, I’m surprised it’s only 47 considering its user base and the fact that we’re already in July.

Firmly agree. I spent 6 years coding in python as a daily language, then I swapped to using nodejs for 10 years, only using python on and off. I went to make a basic script with python the other day and I had to look up how to convert a set over to a list.
If you don’t use it, you lose it is fully valid.

Clarification: What definition of incel are you using? Are you strictly using the definition as “One who can not find a partner despite wanting to” or are you using a different definition
If it’s strictly that definition there isn’t anything wrong with it. It’s when someone in that position starts blaming the other parties for their position that makes it become an issue. I.E Racism, sexism, etc
In my opinion, incels are in a similar boat to furries, just being that designation doesn’t make it wrong, however the actions you do while in that designation do. As a result, the designation as a whole has a black mark.
It’s completely fair to hate that you can’t find an SO and blame yourself, it isn’t fair to hate that you can’t find an SO and to blame others for it. The only time I would argue the counterpart is fair is if someone is actually smearing your image, but that isn’t what is happening with the incel stereotype. The incel stereotype is blaming others for liking other characteristics (usually ones that you don’t have [and yes that can include self describing yourself as an incel]), which is entitled/extremely selfish as a trait.
However if your definition is the stereotype definition of incel, and you can’t see whats wrong with the above… I don’t think anything anyone can say here is going to be able to change anything.

Didn’t he already do this early 20’s and then never update it past the original commit? Or was that only the algorithm.

Jokes on you, even if we didn’t delete it, we laid off our customer service departments - Microsoft

gray in the case of lies doesn’t mean gray areas, a grey lie when identifying lies actually means that the lie benefits both parties without causing harm to either side. A white lie is a lie that benefits the other party at the cost of the liar, a black lie only helps the liar at the cost of the other party, and a red lie hurts both the liar and the other party.
I would say that type of system could only be objective, while the intent does matter as well, I believe a lie that harms the other side, even when you meant otherwise would be either a red or a black lie, since it harms the other it can’t be gray or white.

Yea that’s what I mean, when the options are pay 5k, or have every user on the platform go through a 24h timer delay and multiple scare warnings, I think an argument can be made about it being prohibitive and against the nature of the injunction. If I understand the case right, they have already ruled that Google needs to allow for third party stores and can’t prohibit them, its just Epic and Google were fighting about how they would go about it. I don’t think them agreeing to this changed the already in place ruling that google was given.

I took it as the reoccuring 5k was to allow installation of the play store apps, and that the upfront cost was the cost required to have it not give the scare alert and forced 24h period.
Regardless if what it is, I would still count even a one time 5k cost to be pretty inhibitive for someone wanting to run a third party store

I’m sorry what? $5,000 a year to run a store? how is that anywhere near arguable in court
Also I’m not sure how this meets the requirement of the already given injunction in the US which is that they can not impede third party stores. A $5,000 yearly cost + a $5,000 upfront cost is pretty impeding if no other alternative is provided for third party stores.
for perspective, it seems such a yearly charge is about fifth of fdroid’s annual donations. If the first year required both the upfront and the annual cost, thats a little under half of their total annual donations just to keep the store allowed on google.
Aurora store only has a yearly donation estimate of 1040 USD. How is this remotely applicable to the injunction.
If this is a 5k cost to be allowed to run a third party store that’s a little better but, I would still consider that impeding third party apps.
and that’s ignoring the entire must only distribute in the US, which will require a framework in place to identify where users are prior to them being able to download and install apps.

It would be based off objectivity, not belief.
Whether someone thinks it’s a lie or not doesn’t matter. Although you do bring up a good point. Maybe having an additional category “mistaken lies” or something would help. It would also help decipher how often the person fact checks lol

Honestly, the ad-free* tiers is what is making me want to do away with ads the most. I don’t mind paying for a service, I do mind paying for a service just to get ads anyway. The double dipping is so annoying.
It’s becoming increasingly difficult to find a service provider that isn’t actively forcing ads into premium tiers.
They just rolled out age verification in certain regions and it’s absolutely killed their score.
If you sort by most recent, instead of most relevant, you’ll see that the last like 50 or 60 reviews are all complaining on their age verification and how they implemented it.
The top two complaints on it is stability and that age verification.
