2·24 days agoFor LTO8 which can store ~12TB/Tape it’s about a 3k investment for used and cobbled togetherness for the drive and anything else, e.g. tape loaders or HBA cards.
About 6-8k new and properly done.
Then 50-80 per tape
Just looked it up and there’s like 20 terabyte tape drives on NewEgg for about a hundred bucks.
