Best option that I found for my LG C2 — is to just turn internet off.
See my post above, you can use pihole to just block your internet’s connection to LG’s ad telemetry.
According to the researcher in the above project, model weights on flocks at least are local and not remotely updateable
Note: most LG ad and telemetry domains are not blocked by the default Pi-hole blocklist!

For parenting, YES it gets much easier physically really just about now (2-3) as they start to be able to play more independently, (esp imagination games – encourage it, play along a few times and they will continue on their own).
It gets a lot easier physically when they go to school even that half-day a few times a week gives them a lot to process.
Beware, it gets much more challenging emotionally right around 3-5. This is where they will try to find what the boundaries are. Set clear boundaries and stick to them. Be a hard immovable rock just a few times and you both will really appreciate it for years after.
EDIT: oh yeah and be prepared to go into another room, yell obscenities at the little brat into your pillow where they cannot hear, and come back into the room as the Patron Saint of Calm Parenting. DO what you can to avoid losing it right in front of them or worse at them. They will test you.

That’s the most egregious moral and social flaw but there were others that could also have doomed the US from the start. A lot depends on the culture, how it evolves, and which values and narratives are promulgated by civil institutions.
Compared to 100 years ago, USA is objectively less racist, less homophbic, less xenopobic, and generally more tolerant and respectful.
Especially if you consider USA during Obama/Biden. Racists were still racist but the messaging from the top and most of society was: other races are OK, other cultures are OK, other sexual identities are OK
(contrast with Trump’s TruthSocial/Foxnews/X/OANN hate-culture)
The problem with a monopoly is that it tends to abuse its position, no matter the intentions of the people in it.
Multipolarity with international rules that are followed out of self-interest because conflict is more costly than cooperation. That’s about the best equilibrium we can hope for. Until we have O’Neill cylinders, ofc .
