What false positives do you think that an AI would alert for that a human wouldn’t also have to investigate just at a slightly later time because symptoms keep trending in a direction. A nuclear reactor is an incredibly consistent system if something is giving you a “false positive” there’s a solid chance something is still wrong.

Hot take I know. I’m not talking about LLMs obviously but AI could absolutely be implemented to reduce risk in a nuclear plant. Having a constant double check running for every decision could reduce the risk of a tired human pressing the wrong button and leading to a SCRAM at the very least.

I don’t like tech bros. If I could snap my fingers tomorrow and kill all billionaires I would do it. Its just bad to want to watch someone suffer and wanting them to suffer forever is inherently immoral. No human can do so much bad that they deserve eternal torment because humans can only live for a finite period of time and create a finite amount of harm.

Read the other comments their are multiple people bringing up eternal simulated torture. I never said anything about the post itself I specifically called out the comments being weird.

Yes these comments are implying that thier “likeness” is being tuned into a slave/forced to endure endless pain.

I have a super weird view of selfhood I think. I know that the uploaded existence wouldn’t be me but I also don’t care if that makes sense. If you’ve ever watched pantheon I would totally upload myself even if it killed me so that the uploaded me could exist.
