I dislike people who downvote people who mention downvoting (like the two I call out in the above comment) and people who downvote every comment in a thread just because their own comment was downvoted (like bigtyme who i’ve noticed a bunch of times downvoting entire threads just because someone downvoted him).
Neither of those things are conducive to a social web with a small population.

Generally speaking you don’t airdrop troopers directly into an urban area since there are lots of things you can hit as you fall. Those paratrooper parachutes have little control compared to a civilian parachute. In the US all airborne and air assault bases have huge open fields for troops to practice in since you really don’t want your soldiers smacking into signs and cars during a training event. It’s expensive to fix them up after.

Like other commenters are saying: it’ll be sweet if anti ai sentiment unites people but the entirety of human history suggests people will cooperate until the threat is over and then they’ll break upon lines of who wipes standing or sitting or some other dumb shit.

Most packages in Mint you can download from the system repo. You don’t have to use flatpacks. I have my LMDE set to show only system packages since i’m not a fan of flatpacks.
