Footage of the shooting was captured on the officer’s body camera and provided to the Manhattan district attorney. The officer was on the first floor of Hamilton Hall when his gun went off.

    Called it when it was first reported. Also NYT, he didn’t fire it ‘accidentally’ and it’s not that it just ‘went off’, he fired it negligently because he was violating fundamental weapon safety practices.
