I am so tired of every single controversy being called X-gate.
It’s just like the media’s use of the word “scandal” to describe literal crimes committed by people with money and power
Watergate wasn’t even about water, so the -gate part doesn’t make sense
If Watergate happened today they would just calling it Tapegate
For real. I was sick of it like a decade ago ugh
It’s part of the language now.
