And please spare me the FTPT stuff; the current US political landscape allows—no, demands—the rise of a leftwing party at the expense of the Democrats. I think this perspective is too short-sighted, and the idea that going against the party a whole 25% of the time is more than a little ridiculous, but also that’s not the point. I asked a question about the future, not about the past.
