Hey all. I’d like to open an official discussion regarding the upturning of the prior Hexbear party line on an :israel-cool: emote proper with the unambiguous Zionist flag.
I want to preface this by saying this is not in a ‘ceding the issue’ way. Over the past year I’ve been trying to engage in self-crit w/rt the chauvinism I’ve internalized growing up in a Liberal Zionist household, and my personal viewpoint on it did a 180 some months back, so I want to reopen this discussion proper in my personal capacities as Self-Appointed Emote Czar.
The reason it’s taken long enough beyond that is prior to July, I was essentially half-engaged with the site in order to finish out my degree. After that, it’s been mostly inertia of confirming with the admins and other /c/Judaism mods, as well as having to be rigorous about my job search personally giving me little free time to coordinate this.
I do not want to center myself in this conversation more than I inadvertently already have, so I will leave my own opinion on the issue as a comment rather than explaining further here.
The consensus we’ve roughly come to is to open up the discussion in an official manner for a day or so. After that, I’ll weigh the discussion in an entirely vibes-based manner (sorry Dean Norris enjoyers) and we’ll alter Hexbear party line on it accordingly.
The account that I use on my phone was banned for “metaposting”, “ban evasion”, and “personal vendetta” in this very thread. It’s absolute proof that random accounts are being banned for being zposter alts. Nakoichi’s personal vendetta is harming hexbear. It’s time for him to go.

That is true, and while we tried to go back and unban those people it cannot restore the trust. Which was why we changed the procedure to discuss site changes instead of just doing them, although I do think we needed to have just added the emoji

Yeah the term “personal vendetta” is incredibly laughable, especially coming from a user and mod team that has not earned the trust of its users. Have you ever considered that a user doesn’t like you because you make terrible takes? Or your needless childishness and hostility? It’s almost like you grow to dislike users who bring the website down. “Personal vendetta” implies this person knows you in real life and specifically targets you because of something you’ve done personally like interfere with a relationship or a bad joke you said, something that has nothing to do with leftist discussion, which I seriously doubt. Can we please stop assuming that our minority users are targeting people for reasons unrelated to the discussions at hand? Sounds an awful lot like police profiling

Maybe a user being “an asshole” all the time isn’t so bad if this is what it took to get anything to change. You are correct and I’m sorry for that. We will sort out any mistakenly banned accounts but he has said himself he uses alts so it can be confusing.
No I said I have alts as back-ups for when you spuriously ban me over nonsense (as seen here). I never admitted to “using alts” in the way you are inferring

no but when people have admitted to having alts it can be used to see if there is vote manipulation or commenting to each other in a single post to help verify they are alts

It was a combination of naming trend, upvote analysis, comments, and what zposter has said himself.
I’ve already unbanned some that were incorrectly banned and am more than happy to do so for others
which alts are those? SeekTheDeletion is the only alt I had used here for votes, and I did it after my main was banned. Oh and CogitoErgoCum, an old appeal account which you banned before I did anything at all, don’t think I did any commenting or upvoting on that one. Then I’ve used this account obviously.
What other alt account do you think to be me? The other ones you banned were false positives and not me, just like zenz poster, leon treatsky, anon, sharia law z, etc.
