There may be a time… like an hour from now that I can check back but I might forget. But still, what is the context of this? I’m a touch older and I’m lost but intrigued.
Worm: Parahumans is a “web serial”, a (not exactly a) book series that an amateur author wrote one chapter at a time over several years. The authors handle is Wildbow, and the link to the beginning is https://parahumans.wordpress.com/category/stories-arcs-1-10/arc-1-gestation/1-01/
It’s a story about teenagers with superpowers struggling against public perception, the expectations of adult heroes, and a shadowy organization (there’s always one, right?). It’s dark and extremely creative. Personally, I thought it got a little wobbly at the end, but I loved it until then.
The biggest cultural impact the series had is its power classification system, which shows up all over online.
