I had nothing but bad experiences as a kid and grew up to find I am extremely allergic to the fuzzy little monsters. Had some allergy test they did with blood work when I moved here, and cats had the scary numbers. Been around a couple I have liked, but the stress of constant hand washing, meds, wheezing, and swollen eyes makes it impractical long term. I appreciate the hell out of friends who go the extra mile to scrub clean guest rooms and basements for visits/parties.

Worst part is my partner is a huge cat person and found out they are allergic too. Grew up with them and everything. We did try and cat sit for a day or two, but I guess it isn’t meant to be.
