Also what did Cult of Dusty do? I know he was a nu-atheist but I thought he came out on the radlib/progressive side of the schism? Maybe I’m not up to date on my 15 year old youtube lore. I think he did a pivot to breadtube. Obviously an annoying radlib, but not really on par with a lot of these straight up reactionaries unless I’m missing something

I recently turned on notifications for a bunch of channels I was subbed to, but don’t upload often. Now I have a slow stream of usually good videos in my notifications and I don’t miss stuff from those channels. Since doing this I think my algorithm has started giving me better stuff too tbh
I usually just watch whatever trackmania video wirtual posted to his low effort slop channel that day. He’s neutral and inoffensive enough to be watchable and there’s no reason to pay attention to the funny car game, and I don’t have to commit to watching the rest of it when I’m done eating because it’s completely empty bullshit that’s just a sort of neat spectacle to watch when busy with something else. Dude’s brain is like 97% trackmania mechanics knowledge, 2% Ancient Egypt trivia, and 1% chess and absolutely nothing else. He’s also a completely sexless dork in an apparently stable relationship with a woman who is both clearly smarter than him and also AFAIK older than him, so it’s a sort of safe bet he’s not doing the streamer crime, and the closest thing to a scandal I’ve heard about him was an alleged ESL mistake moment from years ago where he confused the English words “racer” and “racist” when trying to play with words.
I read “neutral and inoffensive” and was going to crack a joke about the racist thing only to see you beat me to it.
I second that he’s mindless and fine if you want something just on.

I mostly watch cooking or food / restaurant vids while eating.
It has a certain vibe to watch someone eat a 18 course dinner while I sit in my underwear eating 50 cent ramen.
Mr. Nightmare and Chilling Scares have plenty of interesting videos that I listen to as I eat.
