It’s been a while, so I figured I’d dash off a bit of an ol’ update.
- I got tired of the ‘Lounge’ and ‘Webcomix!’ threads cluttering the community wall as sticky threads, so I’ve moved them to the sidebar. (everyone can see the sidebar, right…?)
- Looks like we’ll soon be hitting 500 subscribers, so I wanted to thank everyone for checking us out! Unfortunately, we lost about 1200 followers in the July '25 site move, but so far, building it back up at this rate makes me feel like I did the right thing by starting over here. 😮💨
- Speaking of the move, altho things are mostly wrapped up from that, there’re still some loose ends to fix up. Specifically: 1) identifying posts that didn’t transfer properly from Lemm.ee over to PieFed.Social, and 2) identifying posts in which Imgur lost the image content, most often seen in the body of the post.
- For these reasons, would anyone here like to help us out by looking through the body of posts to find stuff that needs fixing? For #1, that can be checked from any connected FV instance, ideally if they started archiving our content from our Aug 1st, '23 launch date. (EXAMPLE of what that might look like) For #2, one could simply scroll & page through the content that’s right here, which currently sits at 460+ posts.
- If you’re willing to put in work on either of those projects, just let me know, yeah? (it’s worth a mod position, FWIW)
- In ooother news, I’m enjoying the heck out of the online browser “Rogue Fable IV” game these days, so if you enjoy “rogue-likes,” I invite you to give it a spin. It’s a toughie, but perhaps we can share notes, as it’s not well documented so far. You can check it out at NewGrounds or the lovely Itch.io. So far I’ve figured out some pretty good tips and mild cheats, if you’re interested.
- Btw, Leah Gardner is the artist, above. Interesting to me in that she takes various subjects that I’d normally think of as being ideal watercolor studies, and instead paints them in oil. Doesn’t hurt that “tea” seems to be one of her themes, speaking as a tea fanatic myself. (iced, please)
- Oh, and one last little reminder-- In general, I try to cover as wide a range of works here as possible, but there’s always so much more Euro content to explore, particularly stuff that I’ve never heard of, which is still a lot. For that reason, I encourage y’all to make postings here to get the ball rolling on whatever content you’d like to see more fully explored at EGN++. Just sharing an image and putting title and creator in the header is perfectly fine.
Alright, cheers, mateys! :D
