Wow, I honestly thought he would die in the US so this is quite surreal. I wonder how withdrawn the rest of his life in Australia will be? He was quite an outspoken public figure a decade ago but after his illness and missing so much time with his wife and daughters you would assume he’ll just go full family man from now on.

I mean there can’t be no penalty for leaking classified information, justified or not. But after 12 years, the damage has been well and truly done the US govt was just looking childish by not cutting him a deal and putting the whole thing to bed.

This is the best news ever to wake up to! I can’t wait to see him home on Australian soil with his arms around his family.❤️
