Many of the organizations are UN-affiliated agencies and panels focused on climate, labor, migration and social policy. The US State Department said the agencies work on agendas contrary to US interests.

    It bothers me that any president has the power to do this. I think treaties require Senate approval. It should take the same amount of oversight to leave them.

      I’m not sure that he does. Of course, it doesn’t effectively matter since nobody tries to stop him when he does shit like this.

    I think the time has come for the UN to expel the United States. As Secretary General Anotnio Guterres stated, as long as the US is a member of the UN, it has a legal obligation to fund those agencies. The US owes $1.5 billion in dues.
