My biggest disappointment was the way Austria cut through the Dutch defense. I’d say Austria can go far and surprise us. Georgia also seems stronger than most thought. But in the end I guess Spain will just take the title.

      Spain is very impressive indeed.

I didn’t follow Germany too closely, how are they doing?

Not too bad. The first match was against Scotland and that was very good. After that they have failed to shine. They’ll be playing Denmark, who weren’t hugely impressive but not too bad. Should be a good match to watch but it could also become a fairly boring stalemate type game.

Does Germany ever “shine”? I was under the impression they tend to be solid and impenetrable, with some classically constructed tactics for scoring, but not fancy like Spain etc (I’m a noob).

I think Germany has some very technical players. Musiala, Wirtz, Kroos. The rest of the squad is solid enough but they play pretty exciting football when they’re on their game.

I was impressed by Spain. Didn’t expect them to be so dominant. I was disappointed by France. It feels like they are wasting a golden generation.

I don’t predict Spain to win, but I wouldn’t bet against them. I have a feeling it will be Austria and Spain in the final, with no real justification why. Germany - England is also a strong guess from me.

For me both Hungary and Scotland disappointed massively, Slovakia is a welcome surprise.

Hoping for Slovakia to Eliminate England and want to see Rangnick’s boys in the final, he was massively disrespected by (us) Man United fans and he deserves better.

The Italians were the biggest disappointment by far. No ideas, no leadership, no organization. They didn’t deserve to go thru.

If I were an England fan I’d be sweating bullets based on what I’ve seen. Same with France. I’ve always joked that the only team that can beat France is France and right now they seem to be doing just that. Kante has been good though.

You can only play what’s in front of you so Spain haven’t had a serious game yet, but they’ve been convincing. You gotta win the little games too and they have.

Germany have done the job as well.

I’ve been very impressed with Kvaratskhelia and Kochorashili and all of Georgia’s games so far outside of the game against Turkiye. I think Spain will be able to beat them though and most likely make it to the final after that though that side of the bracket is stacked. I have no clue who to pick for the other side of the bracket.
