T(h)anks! Seeing that post, I thought “was the mark something steam powered”. Turns out, no, but now there’s at least two rabbit holes I’m tempted to go read.
Tanks have to be one of the worst possible applications of steam power. Then again, I suppose the high probability of a boiler explosion when it runs out of water in the middle of a battle could be seen as a “feature.”
Add a turret to combine external combustion with very external combustion.
