You know I just noticed I haven’t heard anything from Elon musk in months. Either that means I finally disconnected from enough media to block him from my view …or it means that his usual bs is just being drowned out by all the other awful stuff that is going on. 🤔

I’m guessing the board at Tesla told him to stfu and stop hurting their brand or they would give him the boot. I can’t believe they didn’t do that given the irreparable harm he did to them last year.

He’s the only thing they have. Tesla is an empty promise company. That’s what they have been built on and it’s their only consistent output. If they booted Musk it would be over. There’s nothing else there.

    worst is yet to come

    Oh boy, is it ever.

The standard of living most of us here in the West enjoy today is extremely unusual. You might even say it’s anomalous. In that regard, rather than saying things are going to get worse, it might be more accurate to say things are going to return to normal.

Yup. I see posts like “how bad does it have to get for Americans before they protest like France?!” And it’s like, compared to the world, things aren’t that terrible yet. Still a decline sure, but it’s just bringing us back to the average.

The whole “move out at 18 and find your own place” is very American. Other countries it’s not uncommon to have multiple generations in the same house, some never move out. Not because they’re lazy but because it’s just too expensive to do it alone.
