To read the coverage of Cole Allen, the alleged White House Correspondents’ Association dinner gunman, you’d think he was a poster boy for the administration’s belief that the country is under siege from a left-wing insurgency (see: NSPM-7). The evidence, as you’ll see, says otherwise — but everyone from the White House to major media outlets are sticking to the script regardless.
I’m not sure that this is an argument worth having. In the blog (obligatory reminder that Substack is still a Nazi bar), it mentions that 59% of Dem voters are unhappy with Democrat party leadership. This means that for a majority of Democrats, hating Democrats is being a Democrat.
Most progressives hate the DNC for its hostility toward the left and its failure to mount any meaningful resistance to the fascism of the current regime. And they’re still going to vote Dem because what else are you supposed to do. That is until it’s not enough anymore, and then (redacted).

It is precisely because the mainstream media desperately needs to portrays itself as in the center but cannot admit the center hates Democrats too so the media tries to astroturf a feeling that Lefty Radicals are such a disturbing threat to distract from the fact that the mainstream media clearly represents no one but themselves.
