Paradigm Shift’s usbliter8 exploit targets Apple A12 and A13 SecureROM via USB DFU mode, creating an unpatchable hardware risk.
Nice! Maybe a jailbreak can be derived from this. However, we are talking about quite old devices here…
Device families in that range include the iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR; the iPhone 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max; the iPhone SE (2nd generation); the iPad Air 3rd gen, iPad mini 5th gen, and iPad 8th gen; Apple Watch Series 4 and 5; the first-generation Apple Watch SE; the HomePod mini;
Damn, iPhone 11 is old now? My daily driver is a 12 Pro Max and I still have a working 6s and 8.
The iPhone 11 is 7 years old at this point… which I would say is a testament to the longlivety of these devices
Homepod Mini sounded useful until I checked prices. $150? No thanks.
Oh dang, they were $100 when they first came out. I got a pair to use as tv speakers and they’ve honestly been pretty good.
