    If you do this route, I highly recommend having a trusted friend trip sit, at least while you get familiar with the shrooms. They can make things go a lot smoother, from getting water for you to adjusting music to being able to ask you questions that you wanted to think about but might have forgotten (just tell them beforehand). The psychedelic explorers guide by james fadiman has some great tips, especially the first two chapters iirc.

    The other benefit is that while the odds of having a bad trip are very low, and most uncomfortable experiences while tripping can actually bring a lot of growth and healing if you accept and explore them, there is a very small chance of having a truly bad trip. Having a trusted friend to help you through that can be the difference between life and death (source: had a friend who would’ve killed themself if I hadn’t been tripsitting). Shrooms can bring a lot of growth and healing, they’re very beautiful, but it’s important to be careful with them and treat them with respect
