A first-person stealth game in the vein of Thief/Thief 2. You’re robbing a cult of spammers and phishers known as The Word of Turscar.
Yes, a cult of spammers. Could there be any group of antagonists that better deserve being robbed blind?
Maybe. But few are more pathetic.
Lurk. Loot. Leave.
Stick to the shadows, take your time, and don’t get caught. Use your equipment to buy yourself an edge over the cultists, or simply wait until they walk past to stab them in the back.
Steal everything that isn’t nailed down, and then come back and steal the nails. Launder your plunder by upgrading your equipment.
You decide when to pull out. If you wish to explore further for more loot, or pull out earlier? That’s your choice!
There may even be more than one way out, if you can find them.
- Light-sensitive detection, using my own system.
- Sound detection: the bots will hear your footsteps around corners and through open gaps, but not through closed doors!
- Open-ended extraction goal: you decide when to leave.
- Notes to read. Some may even contain keycodes that some idiot wrote down!
- Limited combat - your goal is to not be seen!
- Different difficulty levels, affecting detection speed.
- Tense, ominous atmosphere. Anyone who’s played Thief might feel at home.
- Enemies that never relax once they know something’s up.
- Throwable distractions and items.
- Different equipment types, unlocked by stealing loot from the cultists.
- An extra difficulty setting where you get ONE shot. Don’t Get Seen.
- Localisation into Irish. Why??? Because why not? It’s not like “turscar” is the Irish Gaelic for spam…oh, wait.
In the seedy underbelly of Bailecittà, under the iron fist of the Borflaw corporation, the line between thief and private investigator is as clear as the fog that blankets the streets and factories.
You play as Sadmuc, a freelance “Baffler”. Few of the electronic surveillance systems and safeguards throughout this city can stand up to your custom EMP railgun. But shooting them from a distance doesn’t get you past them. The entire point is that you help somebody else get past.
And when it comes to sniffing around Borflaw, the only person you can rely on for that is your old partner, Rania. If she can put up with you long enough, you might just be able to get to the heart of whatever Borflaw is up to.
- Tense, tactical gameplay where success or failure relies on your aim.
- Multiple starting locations, allowing you multiple options from which to provide overwatch.
- Guards that will not stop searching when they know an intruder is nearby.
