You hear Thao’s new stuff? I really liked the track she did with tuneyards
Yes! That’s what brought me back here to this album. Thao is such an odd artist for me, she’ll release music and I go back to her old stuff before I get into her new stuff. She’s great
Weirdly, I don’t think any of her music has ever clicked for me on first listen. She was one of the first artists I remember thinking “part of my brain says I do not like this but the other part says there’s something there. Try to find that thing.”
Hopefully that makes sense. Some things are only “bad” because they’re unfamiliar and Thao often explores sounds I’m not familiar with. I love that.
