So I have to admit, I was cautiously optimistic about this one. The trailer promised a stripped down, back to basics approach to the Alien franchise, with a fresh new cast and a talented horror director at the helm. But does it live up to the promise?

My impression is that he mostly makes money off calling things woke (spreading The Message/forced diversity/Mary Sue/cancel culture/etc.). The Menu is great though.

If a media property spends more energy on politics then the story/writing itself that’s a reasonable bit of critical feedback.
