“Come to think of it, I am going to alert the @SEC directly about @Disney, @ABC and their misleading response to the whistleblower’s accusations about the presidential debate,” Ackman said.

Unfortunately for Ackman, he did not tag the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission as he intended. The Twitter handle @SEC belongs to the NCAA’s Southeastern Conference. Unless he wanted to enlist the expertise of athletic programs like Georgia and Alabama, it was a comical error.

Twelve minutes later, Ackman doubled down on the tweet without realizing the mistake. In a second tweet, he claimed the SEC “understands the importance of the US securities markets. I believe it is one of the most non-partisan of our government agencies.”

There is nothing to suggest that any of these documents are legitimate or came from any reliable sources. The “affidavit” itself claims it was “signed and notarized on September 9th, 2024,” a day before the Sept. 10 debate, and that this supposed whistleblower “sent a certified letter to myself, postmarked September 9, 2024” via both U.S. mail and FedEx, plus another copy of the letter to Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA). Johnson has neither tweeted about these claims nor reported that he received any such letter
