I was bored, depressed and suffering from the current recession. But then the Mandalorian came out, I had an excuse to be fully groomed and dress up. I went and had Chinese food I rarely get just for the occasion. Then spent two hours outside of this hell hole we call reality right now. You are correct. In all of my time being Communist I’ve only come across one circle of Comrades that praised Stalin. They went on to become Red Guards Austin. Listen to what someone says and believe them is what I learned. We can let the past be its honest self and move forward all the same. Otherwise, if we make excuses and attempt to clean peoples images we’re doomed to repeat the same mistakes. It’s also not about serving leaders, it’s about serving people.

Indeed. It’s not necessary either. We can move on with Stalin’s image as the socialist anti-Christ as is and continue building the workers movement all the same. We don’t need him. But some act like it’s a great betrayal of the movement to not view Stalin as a great revolutionary that advanced the revolution forward like a champ.
