  • After the sale fell through? Since they haven’t caught her I guess it’s not like they can say for sure why she did it, but that’s a weird time to set it on fire if your issue is it being used to house ICE victims. Especially since I read in another article it fell through because the owner backed out.

Not saying there aren’t people that hate ICE in Kansas, trying to set it on fire after the sale is no longer happening is just difficult for me to interpret. Was she sending a message to the owner for considering it? Trying to make sure the owner can’t change their mind? Mad that the owner backed out of the sale? Normally I wouldn’t entertain this one, but Kansas.

  • This gets wilder the more you read it.

[Judge] Valenzuela’s ruling noted other problems with the prosecution. In January, Redondo-Rosales’s attorneys moved to request materials related to a different case in which the government said [ICE officer and alleged victim] ZC was assaulted by another protester. That case was dismissed after it was revealed that ZC had not previously disclosed that he was convicted of a harassment offense in 2021.

Redondo-Rosales’s attorneys also sought use-of-force and personnel records from ZC and other officers who arrested Redondo-Rosales. US prosecutors, the judge noted, opposed the requests for more records and said ZC would not be called as a witness in Redondo-Rosales’s trial, despite being the alleged victim.

Officers so credible they can’t even testify to their own “assault” in court because the fact they’re thugs with records a mile long hurts their case more than it helps.

It’s great the judge dismissed the case with prejudice, but Jesus, that’s 6 months of his life he’s not getting back.
