I meant more like non elected officials, like a Contracting Officer.
I meant more like non elected officials, like a Contracting Officer.
Is there somewhere with more details?
Also I meant non elected officials like purchasing officials.
I don’t think this decision would apply to like federal purchasing officials… so not yet.
Maybe th debate will clear things up.
That might work for the very short term. But the “bribes” you see are campaign finance and they are only so small because of laws. The real bribes are the jobs and consulting work after.
If you cam just pay them outright, costs will skyrocket.
Does this now flow down as precedent for people who decide contracts?
I mean wouldn’t people who are willing to break the law to kill not care much about other laws?
On a tangent… Why are we still wearing ties? Buttons exist and are already included 95% of the time.
Having worked in school finance in a prior life, I can tell you the biggest problem with money getting redirected to these schools is that they can deny students. So public schools lose funding and have to absorb all of the expensive SPED students.
I think Bibi is hedging his bets. If war with Lebanon ends up looking lengthy he can end the Palestine campaign. He just needs any war to stay and power and avoid his corruption cases, I don’t think he really cares what war it is.
He says so many things all the time, that it would be statistically weird if some things weren’t true.
Could we take em to small claims for like $500 a comment? That would be a devastating movement lol
It really is absurd. I want someone to create a trend of how many homeless does your church house? Kind of like a competition… in reality some large churches could support 100 and other very small rural ones might struggle to support one.
Or if we are going to use other countries, Australia has a much worse Meth problem than the US. In fact it probably has the worst per capita addiction in the world.
They also love slapping it on plastic waste for reuse, but people just assume the whole thing means recycle now
Well that and we have been told that the plastic chemicals leach into the water after reuse.
I was going to make a similar comment. Write into law that investors have to pay 4x property taxes to the town, if the town for some reason doesn’t want the taxes then it just goes to the federal government.
It’s not complicated to me, just make more. We should have a government funded drug producer for all the generics that the big companies don’t think are profitable enough.
We shouldn’t punish a population because a minority abuse something, that really only affects themselves.
I mean there are clear savings advantages to switching to electronic tags. It takes like 30 to 100 man hours every week to swap out labels depending on store size. Thats like 20 to 50k a year you can save on labor by just having them automatically update each week.
Plus the tags/price strips right now aren’t free. Probably another 5k you save a year
Depends on the state
Ethically one would say so, but legally there are different laws written that directly constrain things around bribery for career employees.
Somehow I am extremely skeptical this ruling even applies, and if it does I think it only invalidates one of plethora of laws and regulations…
If you take any training on how to get a contract with the government there is without fail a section that goes over the at least two laws, if not more, about why you can’t bribe them and how you shouldn’t bribe them in various ways.
