I’m not sure why but the fact it was a 66 year old woman who was shot makes it feel worse. Maybe because that’s how old my mum is basically and I can see her putting up a pride flag for me.

Her poor family have lost a mother, wife and sister over a flag.

They were absolutely the best. I was watching that episode with my dad the other week and he said something along the lines of how cute a couple they were.

It was a really lovely moment for me seeing such sweet representation and also hearing my dad say something positive. Growing up he’d switch the channel or make vomit noises if he saw a gay couple on TV so he’s really progressed. Made sure to tell him I appreciate that he’s done that and had a nice bonding moment!
