I almost choked on that one, good one. Meet the Krumps!
I am a huge asocial nerd that lives in a hovel surrounded by vintage computers. And lots of DVDs and Blu-rays.

Since it apparently was in its box all this time, it has no yellowing. Now all my vintage computers look like shit.
A small magneto-optical disk was 128M and the biggest was 540M, so we’re talking ~4GB to ~19GB. The largest standard floppy capacity was 2.88M so that’s 195M. If you include weird stuff like the Panasonic super floppy then you can do 32M on a regular HD floppy, or 240M on super floppy media. Various flopticals also existed, I don’t know much about these, I think it was 20M per disk.
36 magneto-optical disks or 68 floppy discs, or one presumes, many intermediate combinations.
Where you see a simple box, I see practicality and luxury combined.
It’s simpler to say that doctors are morons. And I mean that in a very real sense, I suspect that part of medical school is a lobotomy. Without fail, doctors have been some of the dimmest brutes humanity has to offer.
Enjoy it before Zuck sucks all that water out to cool the computers that bring you Italian brainrot animals and Turbodong 2000 videos.
No kidding, I was doing my groceries and they were playing Zombie. I almost cried. She’s dead, I’m on the way, and that song that I used to dance to in dark industrial clubs is now accompanying me in the pasta sauce aisle.
Yes, but you still need to get rid of the old one, and arrange delivery of the new one.
I used to repair my washing machine because the parts (GE Filter-Flo) were easily available and a mildly competent chimpanzee can figure it out.
The front loaders need to be disassembled in the order they were built and are full of specific parts to each model and require re-sealing the tub. It’s a nightmare.
I buy new now.
We have 64 bit multi-core CPUs unconstrained by clock speeds, RAM, bus bottlenecks, instructions sets, addressing modes, registers, or storage speeds. Monitors are beyond visual resolution, graphics are pumped out at a rate of zillions and gazillions of 32 bit pixels per second. How can any software be anything less than instantaneous these days? How can this modern bloated AI-dreamt high-level sludge code be as slow as my Commodore 64 booting GEOS from a 5.25" floppy?
The mouse button shouldn’t even have time to bounce up from my finger releasing it and the screen should already be loaded.
there is no technology to detect secret tunnels in pyramids because of problem with magnetic field around it.

And dating half your age.
Just like I wonder why Crispers bags are resealable.
Where swearing in Québecois? https://youtu.be/9kUhXDKii8c?t=27
Our closest neighbor is 2km away.
ahhhhhhhhhhhhh that sounds great
Just awful, but I thought it was right there, you know?
Someone should start Blueit. See cuz they blew it, get it?
I don’t understand why we can’t force clearly mentally ill people to take their meds. I get hit by a car, I’m unconscious. No one waits to ask me if I want to be taken to the hospital, and even if I refused, they’d say I was in shock and not thinking right. It makes little to no sense to me.
It was silly and goofy at first but quickly became tiresome. I just wonder if the amount of computing power and resources we throw at such frivolities are worth it.
