Mate, this is very meta with the OP in a bad way. Dismissing someone this way really goes against the values here. Not everyone had the chance to take higher education courses. And not having that chance does not invalidate immediately their views.

It reminds me of Lago Maggiore on the Italian side. I wish more places looked like that…

Icarus@slrpnk.netto Meta (slrpnk.net)@slrpnk.net•SLRPNK Community Discussion - March 2025English6·1 month agoHello admins. I’m new to Lemmy and to Slrpnk and all that jazz, but I’m already really happy of what I’ve found here - will share with friends in the same circles. Is there a donation link to help with server running costs? Best wishes from the UK

Just by BEING in the UK your carbon footprint goes +1.5TonsCO2/year from public service and infrastructure emissions… (if you’re in Switzerland it’s 4+Tons)

I’ve not seen these behaviours being so widespread in other countries I lived in (the UK, Finland, Germany, Japan). Maybe thinking about putting some sort of collective monitoring in place to limit the impact of these?

Some argue that the current rise of fascism Eli’s a direct consequence of the rarefaction of cheap energy sources and of further virgin ecosystems to exploit. (I can provide some sources if anyone is interested).I think that it does make sense, but only time will tell. Not that anything we can put in place now would reverse the tendency.
