I guess in the sense of the matrix. If you can be tricked into seeing things tripping, is the brain tricking what we see sober. The only thing we do know is theres no way to be certain
Are we not fooled into believing what we see sober is real
Hope they have better luck than me

8·8 days agoI can relate to that feeling but for me stimulants wasn’t the answer, I just turned into a shaking clucker, even on the lowest dose. Autism and OCD likely makes it worse. It was finding the right balance of high CBD and medium THC that worked for me, then once as op rather well put it, slowed down the firehose. Allowing for a healthy diet and healthier choices, mediation and exercise. Improving my wellbeing overall
I think sometimes us nds focus too much on what is nt, traditional and expected. We have the right to choose which way we are most comfortable and shouldn’t worry what’s been told for years is the ‘right’ way. Try getting therapy from a therapist pretending to support Nd, it’s likely not going to work cos your brain doesn’t function to nt style therapy and there way of being therapised

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What's something you were told you'd regret in the future, but you still don't regret at all?
3·10 days agoSame, just didn’t do the homework or attend school full time. Only turned up for a morning presence and went home shortly after. School tried for a year or 2, gave up and ignored it

New Jersey Cannabis@lemmy.world•Most Americans Support “Making Marijuana Legal” Nationwide, Opinions Shaped by Personal Experience
1·10 days agoI prefer the medical route, you’re monitored and regulated by specialists who know your medical history. It’s not the drug to blame, it’s the human desire for more and more, stronger and stronger.

3·10 days agoWell it’s been legalised but appears no regulation or education has been provided. They are 2 important factors. People will go crazy for a few years just cos it’s legal but slowly the charm dies down. Gen z and younger generations are changing their Attitude towards drugs and drinking. You’re always going to have problematic drug users/drinkers
If your Nd and the commute is an hour away, you’re already exhausted and in no functioning to attempt to meet. Most ask where you are from and if you’re not local, your ostriched
Yeah, I’ve been feeling like this and trying to just focus on myself. Still deciding whether I’m just being chameleon to others sexual energy and if they want it, it happens but otherwise asexual.
Prefer fwb, no expectations and no commitment just mutual respect. It makes it all seem less overwhelming as a nd. The option is there with a trusted friend for if like me you get that random but rare impulse to be sexual/cuddly

2·10 days agoBanning smoking out right makes it more tempting for teens. Oh it’s naughty not allowed we want it more. Drug dealers will take over, kids are already a profit mill for them

4·10 days agoThis is ridiculous. popup vape shops that sell tobacco too, are laughing at these rules and laws, it’s profit to them. You can get served from 12yo old in them shops, so now teens can resell it on. Bypassed supermarket enforcements

Autism@lemmy.world•Does anyone else hate assembling flatpack furniture?
6·16 days agoThat’s great until all the screws start looking the same and you can’t tell the difference. The pictures can make them seem shorter or longer than they are

Autism@lemmy.world•Does anyone else hate assembling flatpack furniture?
1·16 days agoYeah too much even with help. Can take 3hrs to screw legs onto a workout bench. Maybe I’m just stupid and can’t follow instructions. It’s better when they put the individual pieces in numbered bags, so easy to tell the difference

Looks like those fake wood finishes
