Sure here are a few videos about specifically plastic. The us is the focus in most of them as it generates the most plastic overall, however the key issues mentioned affect the entire industry worldwide (which most of them mention) if you dig around other recycling studies you find lots of cardboard is contaminated before ever reaching the recycling center. I wasn’t clear enough about the logos and stuff, it’s not really the ink but the plastic based wax layer over it to keep it looking nice. The boxes that squeek when you let em slide out your hands
Just a reminder that recycling is a lie, and that pretty much anywhere in the world 90% of plastic just ends up in the landfill regardless of whether or not you properly sorted into recycling. The cost of sorting, processing, and then reusing the plastic is more expensive than simply using new plastic so it’s not profitable. And the vast majority of cardboard is on usable due to the different types of dyes used to put logos colors Etc on it or is otherwise contaminated on its way to the recycling facility
Pretty much the only materials actually for real reused and recycled is glass and metals like aluminum and steel
Your not too dumb to learn linux. I know it seems scary, and a lot of the autistic people that like it will try to convince you it’s only for really smart people. But at the end of the day a lot of basic tasks are actually easier on linux. There are some that are harder gaming used to be very difficult for example. Although thanks to valve, and the steam deck for the most part if it’s a steam game you can just click play and it’s probably going to work.
But as an example of a more basic thing, let’s say you want to install an application.
Windows: go to Google, type app name, make sure it’s the real actual website officially for that app and not a sponsored result or some other fake website, find the download, pray it’s not buried in a bunch of fake download buttons, double click the exe, be careful to make sure it’s not installing any toolbars or other packaged bullshit, finally get your application.
Linux: there are some variations (apt dnf pacman) but all of them work the same, for arch it’s “pacman -Syu <name of app>” id argue thats WAY easier. If it’s not in the main repos chances are high it’s in the AUR (arch user repository) so you just yay -Syu <name of app>. It’s not harder (imo) just different.
I’ve actually had a number of pretty average computer user friends let me help them transition to Linux because of the crap Windows is doing lately. And after getting used to the differences they agree that Linux is not actually harder, it’s just different, they grew up with windows, they are used to how things are done on windows, so it seemed difficult just because it wasn’t the same. But once they got used to it they would actually agree that a lot of things are actually easier.
Now whether or not you want to put in that time to learn those differences, and change how you use your computer, is an entirely different question that you have to ask yourself. But you are not too stupid to learn Linux because realistically it’s not any more difficult than Windows is
If you use the default piped instance then it’s usually overloaded. You can either try finding an alternative or just host your own, personally I do the ladder I rented a VPS for 20 bucks a month and I host my own pipe there
This is the answer, and is exactly what happens when you see those accidents involving like 6 Plus cars. Too many people riding way too close together at high speeds and none of them were able to stop in time when the first car suddenly stopped
I mean, None of these appeared to specifically be about the air tag. But it is at least does help show a general overall commitment to security. So it’s not as if it’s not a huge point in favor of trusting that the airtag data is safe
The problem here is that you think the only viable method to charge an electric vehicle is a level 2 or above charger. The average person, even in more rural areas, generally drives less than 60 miles in a day. Which is something that can be recouped overnight with a standard 15 amp outlet. And that’s assuming it’s only plugged in for 8 hours. Most people’s cars sit idle at home much longer than that. You don’t even need to go Fancy with a dryer Outlet much less a level2 charger.
Unless you’re somewhat remote area is over 200 mi from the nearest charger the majority of electric vehicles will get you there without you having to drive like a grandma. As many of them have somewhere on the order of 250 to 280 miles of range on a full charge now.
There is libretube for using piped as an app on Android
Have you verified their encryption method? Where is the source code? Where is the third party public audit that verifies that it’s implemented properly with no other means of access?
Blindly trusting that they say it’s encrypted is basically the same as no encryption
Fun fact, in a lot of states even if they slam the brakes if you hit them you are still at fault. You should have been at a safe following distance, and no one knows what that actually means. People will argue that a distance of less than 2 seconds is totally fine and safe because they do it all the time. But a safe following distance means that at your current speed of travel if the car in front of you came to an impossibly instantaneous stop you should have time to notice and stop without hitting them.
At freeway speeds this is a minimum of 4 seconds following distance in dry condition. As in when the back of their car passes a sign that you should be able to start counting Mississippi’s and not reach that sign with the front of your car for at least 4 Mississippi’s
Now, if they come up from behind you swerve over and then instantly slam on the brakes obviously you’re fine(if you have a dash cam) there was nothing you could have done, but if you have just been riding their ass and then they slam on the brakes? You’re totally a fault as far as the law in many states is concerned
It’s because everyone is trying to use generic models for every task which is obviously terrible. If you create a custom, naroscope model, you can do some surprising things. But that takes knowledgeable employees, time, and money, none of which companies want to do. Train ann llm exclusively on recordings of drive-thru interactions and it would probably end up being quite good at it.
I mean it wouldn’t hurt to also use some microphones that don’t sound worse than Dollar Store Windows 98 white beige desktop microphone but that’s a different conversation
The problem is that they are just slapping a general use AI onto this and trying to call it a day. Had they created a completely custom model using exclusively recordings of drive-thru interactions it probably would have gone just fine
Unless you’re taking road trips literally every other week you could just rent a gas vehicle when it’s time for a road trip. Rather than make the decision of the car you’re going to drive every single day based on something you only do maybe once a year.
It’s why I don’t own a pickup truck, I actually do haul cars, help people move and all that shit that people say is why they need a pickup truck but I just go to fucking U-Haul and rent either the Sprinter van or the pickup truck for 30 bucks plus mileage when I need one. And I do actually keep track of my financial records with a double Ledger Finance app I just went and looked and I’m still nowhere near the cost of a used pickup truck from all of that renting
You don’t even need the clothes dryer circuit, the vast majority of people don’t drive enough in a day to need anything more than a standard 15a outlet
Unless you take road trips often having a place to charge is literally any random Outlet. You don’t need a fancy dedicated fast charger if you drive less than 100 miles in a day. Think about how many hours your car is just sitting at home, it has that many hours to charge it doesn’t matter if it charges in 1 and 1/2 hours or 9 hours as long as it gets charged
So even as a renter as long as you have any kind of outdoor outlet or garage you’ve got somewhere to charge
What do you mean by bad for 95% of people? 95% of people drive less than 60 miles in a day. Which is something that can easily be recovered overnight with a standard 15 amp outlet not even a special dedicated charger they would have been fine with early electric vehicles much less what we have today
Any actual sex on that OF or just more nudes?
They literally risk their lifes and if they do die it’s in probably one of the most horrific ways imaginable. I think we can afford 80 an hour for them at the very least
