Actual spoiler
The prologue ends with a 4-year old joyfully singing along to happy birthday with her father, while said father sacrifices himself to allow his wife and child to escape the politico-corporate slaughter of a research lab. This is reprised later in the show when a 17-year old sings happy birthday to a friend over the PA, not knowing that the friend was getting incinerated elsewhere because his usefulness as a clone pilot had ended.

That’s me! I’m pretty sure my baseline cortisol levels could kill a small animal. Also pretty sure sustaining that level has done permanent damage to my body.
