  • Our party was in the Feywild and trying to get into a major city under siege and suspicious of anyone trying to get in. We eventually get into a situation where we can talk to the city guards, who realize we’re probably not here to destroy the city, but determine the best thing to do with us is arrest us, throw us in jail, and deal with us later. The guards insist on handcuffing the party, a little bit as a request and a little bit as a threat.

Now as it happens our guide to the Feywild is a tiny creature who the party doesn’t really trust and is a wanted creature by many people, including this city. They are also our only real chance of finding our way around. So in order to keep the tiny creature safe he hid in my large dwarven beard.

As the party is about to get handcuffed my character refuses and begins to try and convince the guards that this is all unnecessary. However the tiny creature in my beard has different plans. Utilizing the power of my characters Truename (there is a reason we didn’t trust him) he commands my character to give up arguing and agree to be handcuffed. Maybe he didn’t trust my negotiating ability. Maybe he didn’t trust that I wouldn’t give him up. Either way the party is now handcuffed, powerless and marching to jail.

My character, having his freewill taken from him, is angry. As the party marches to jail I ask the DM to clarify exactly what command my character is under. I then ask if it would be against that command to purposely fall forward, on my face, beard first. As it turns out, that would be allowed. And so in an attempt to “get even” with the tiny Fey creature hiding in my large dwarven beard, my character “falls” causing both myself and the Fey creature to take damage.

It was the only damage I took that session.

  • I have no idea what this is from, but I love it.

    Transcription and my guesses below.

    1. How did Bart disrupt the church service at the start of the episode?
    spoiler

Switching the hymn/song with In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida by I Ron Butterfly

    1. How did Rev Lovejoy describe Hell?
    • A) A place with (newt?) but burning hot coal, where you drink (newt?) but burning hot cola.
    • B) A place with fiery demons will brush us in the back.
    • C) A place where you eat sweets and sing hymns.
    • D) A place where your soul will be chopped into con(?) and trhown upon a parade of murders and single mothers.
    • E) A place where your tongue is chewed upon by ravenous birds.
    spoiler

E? I thought it was the Sunday school teacher and it was the last one about ravenous birds. Later on Milhouse confesses for fear of the birds attacking his face.

    1. Why do you think Rev Lovejoy asked the children to recite descriptions of Hell?
    spoiler

So it would stick with them.

    1. What was Bart’s punishment?
    spoiler

Cleaning the church organs/pipes with Milhouse.

    1. Why does soul say that Hell is made up?
    spoiler

I think they mean “Bart” saying Hell is made up, and it’s so parents can be in control.

    1. Where does Milhouse say the soul is?
    spoiler

In your brain/head/nose, it’s why you have to save “Bless You” to suck it back up.

    1. How much does Bart sell his soul for?
    spoiler

Five bucks, so Bart can but dinosaur sponges.

    1. What does Lisa say that the soul is?
    • A) A symbol of everything that is pure inside us.
    • B) The most valuable part of you.
    • C) Another word for your heart.
    • D) The only part of you that lasts forever
    • E) An invention of a sick mind
    spoiler

    D. The only part of you that lasts forever

    1. What did Pablo Naruda say that Laughter is?
    spoiler

I am familiar with the works of Pablo Naruda (but not this quote). Laughter is the wit of the soul?

    1. Why didn’t Bart laugh at Itchy and Scratchy?
    spoiler

He didn’t have a soul, but he isn’t actually sure why.

    1. What happens in Bart’s nightmare?
    spoiler

All of his friends/classmates are playing with their souls and eventually take rowboats with their souls, but Bart can’t get anywhere alone.

    1. Why does Lisa’s prayer, before their meal, upset Bart?
    spoiler

Lisa gives a specific blessing to everyone’s soul, except Bart.

    1. How much does Bart offer Ralph for his soul?
    spoiler

    The rest of the sponges?

    1. Who did Milhouse sell Bart’s soul to?
    spoiler

Comic Book Guy? I think this is the “Remember Alf/Pogs Bart?” bit.

    1. How did Bart try to get his soul back?
    spoiler

    Trying to steal/buy Ralph’s soul.

    1. Who had Bart’s soul?
    spoiler

    Lisa.

    1. What did Lisa say that some philosophers think?
    • A) The soul comes from eating too many green M&Ms
    • B) The soul is the bottom of your shoe.
    • C) No one is born with a soul. You have to earn one with suffering, thought and prayer.
    • D) You are what you do.
    spoiler

    C. No one is born with a soul. You have to earn one with suffering, thought and prayer.

  • I really enjoyed this episode. Quimby backstory, killing with a sandwich, stew in a cone, all excellent.

Apparently Alice Glick died before, but then just started appearing again, so now she’s died twice. Although I think Moleman has died a handful of times, so maybe the elderly are harder to kill than it looks.

I thought Carrie Coon did an excellent job trying to be part of the Bouvier family with a scratchy voice.

Also Cole Escola has now voiced “Devin” three times. I guess they’re a regular of sorts now.

  • Speculating, this film will have Toussaint (aka T’Challa II) taking on the role of Black Panther and Shuri will return to her technical role, leaning into a little bit if politics but M’Baku will remain in charge. Denzel as the villain, Namor as partial villain who turns out to be more helpful than he planned.

Since Shuri giving up the Black Panther mantle will feel like a demotion we have to give her some really cool tech to work with. Adamantium is one option. Something mutants is another.

If we haven’t met Storm in the MCU by the time this film comes out, she’ll debut in here somewhere.

  • It feels like that line was inserted into the article automatically and not reviewed. Clicking the link says,

the series will average a lean 31 minutes per episode across its eight entries.

Full reported Wonder Man episode lengths
    • Episode 1: 32 minutes
    • Episode 2: 32 minutes
    • Episode 3: 32 minutes
    • Episode 4: 30 minutes
    • Episode 5: 23 minutes
    • Episode 6: 34 minutes
    • Episode 7: 33 minutes
    • Episode 8: 32 minutes

But… it has also been reported that the series will drop all at once.

Echo dropped all 5 episodes in January 2024, and (my own speculation) it looks like that was probably 6 episodes trimmed down to 5.

So is this 8 trimmed down to 6, or just a mistake? I’m guessing mistake.

Will it be all at once? I’m guessing Ironheart style in two drops one week apart.

Disney usually drops a little social media graphic about a week before, so that’s when we’ll probably know for sure.
