Yes, if your customers insist on storing the source files on IBM i in “QSYS.LIB” and you are not allowed to develop locally in you favorite IDE. The old “AS/400 developers” fight tooth and nail to store the source code in the in the database instead of “Integrated File System”, so it’s always a pain. 🤮 Fortunately there is IBM BOB which makes transfer really easy.
That‘s how I still do it today, 'cause: no version control. 🙈 I wished I could use Git. But im my customer project there isn’t any…

Einfach so irgendwo hinkippen ist wohl nicht die Lösung. Das Schlimme ist, dass Wasser in das Lager reinläuft und Metall leider nunmal mit Wasser oxidiert.
Ich will es gar nicht wissen, was da in den nächsten Jahren und Jahrzehnten passiert, wenn der Mist im Grundwasser landet, dann: “Gute Nacht!” Ich glaub’ da haben wir noch einiges zu erwarten, wenn Hochwasser die AKW fluten, haben wir das radioaktive Material überall.
Aber Hauptsache irgendwelche Ignoranten sind “Pro Atomstrom” und wollen das wieder einführen. Die haben den Schuss nicht gehört!
ich hab für feddit.org gestimmt. Ich wäre aber auch mit „lemmyverse.de“ oder so mit gegangen. Letztendlich kann ja alles gut sein, Hauptsache es ist kein kaputter Server, der nicht mehr administriert wird. Und ich würde es begrüßen, wenn nicht alles so zersplittert wäre.

3·29 days agoWhy do you need to access 20 years of data in Gmail? For archiving mails there is a cost-free tool called MailStore Home. It’s portable and fits on a USB thumb drive. Save two or more copies for data safety.
