Interesting that the screen has such an aggressive curve, but the scanlines and text box are relatively straight.

It’s always gonna be vanilla ring or pretzel for me, no exceptions
I can handle shitty graphics, it’s the framerates that really mess with me.
I sometimes forget that some games on Switch cap at 30fps. Jumping from a 165hz display running 165fps to a 60hz display running 30fps is… a bit jarring.
Where do all the logos of this style come from? They all look so same-y and bland. I’ve seen octopi, sharks, lions, eagles, bears, etc. all in this generic youtube gamer font, with bottom-of-the-barrel ‘mascot’ designs. Anyone else tired of this?
What kind of infographic is that? Convection in large bodies of water? I’m not familiar :(
As a teenager, my parents would only let me have a PC if it was situated outside of my room, so naturally, I put my setup in my basement. I was excited to play games in the coolest (temp-wise) room in the house, up until the day a camel cricket decided to jump up my pants and continue to work its way up until I smashed it against myself.
Yuck.
I like to imagine that the childbots are made in the image of the parentbots, and the childbots eventually are tasked with picking out preferred larger parts as a growing rite.
I mean I get things like “frustrated -> take a walk” because that does help me, but I don’t really have the luxury to just sleep because I’m tired…
I cast: instant brazilian waxing!
Cool to see this come up! I recently had to write a (mock) proposal regarding different efforts to store excess green energy and I had a blast reading about gravity batteries and pumped hydro. Hopefully, these projects come along sooner than later, as widespread adoption will take much longer than the first several implementations.
Another neat tidbit I learned while researching pumped hydro is that hydroelectric dams actually use the remaining inertia of the spinning generators to pump water back up the dams, which is much like the idea of regenerative braking in EVs.
For the 2nd one, better safe than sorry. You would feel like more of a dumbass if you heard a story in the news about a gas leak fire, or some other form of damage/injury/death.
I just wanted to point out that Oral B’s basic electric toothbrushes still range from $45-$80, so it’s not quite as cheap as you say it is. Your point still stands in its entirety. The only thing that makes this product different from the $45 model is the Alexa functionality, and taking that away makes it effectively not the same product.
My least favorite is when people claim a deep understanding while only having a surface-level understanding. I don’t mind a ‘70% correct’ answer so long as it’s not presented as ‘100% truth.’
The mathematician one could easily be turned into benzene and then suddenly it’s also a chemistry pancake!
If 0/0 is NaN, then does that mean 0*NaN = 0*0/0 = 0?
If you do enjoy the gameplay loop of monster hunter in general, that humble bundle is very nice to have. Good value there, lots of hours to be had in both games + both DLCs.
Shouldn’t FF16 also be on this list? Given that FF7 Rebirth will almost definitely see a PC port, I don’t think the ongoing development of an FF16 PC port should exclude it from the list.
I remember chilling in the basement and using the PS2 to listen to music. Of course, I gamed on it plenty, but having the music player and DVD player function was pretty convenient too.
So, I was kind of correct… but also not quite correct enough!
