I started crying in front of my career counselor today because I’m so tired of freezing all the time
It was embarrassing but she was very nice about it. Instead of talking about work today she tried to help me put together a strategy for getting another apartment. I can’t live in this one for another winter. I have one room with an extra panel oven for warmth, so I have to spend my entire day there, everywhere else in the house is 12 degrees (celsius) at the moment.She also suggested asking some friends if I could stay with them for a few days while the weather is at it’s worst but idk, that seems like a big thing to ask someone, even though I have a couple of close friends in the area.
Winter will be the death of me. every year it gets more unbearable.
211·1 month agoWhy would “europe” fight the US over greenland? There’s no united european defense or european nation. An attack on one european state is just an attack on one european state, and every country with close ties to denmark also has close ties to the US.

Weight stuff
I love my mum, but it’s sad to see how disparaging she can be about her own body. She complains so much about how fat she’s getting because she sometimes needs to get medium instead of small at the age of 60. But that’s not even chubby, she’s just not as skinny as she used to be. I get that’s not what she wants, but I wish she would be a little bit kinder when talking about herself.
She’s given me some nice clothes that are too small for her now though, so at least there’s an upside for me.

Sabine was probably my favorite, even though I find it kinda heartbreaking that she turned into the kind of person she did, I felt so much sympathy for her in the earliest chapters

It’s called Bury our Bones in the Midnight Soil, and it features several toxic, lesbian vampires. It has kind of a slow pace with different POVs at different times in history, but the prose is very pretty and it was absolutely worth it
