  • Is there no consequence to pigs storming in without a warrant?

Not sure if this is a serious question or not, but nope, there really aren’t for most civilian homes and interactions. Things can vary slightly depending on the the state or municipality, but the moment you open the door for them they are legally permitted to be inside. The legal bar is really low to manufacture pretext for anything else they want from that point forward. Cops can lie through their teeth and say whatever they want to get you to open the door and will threaten every aspect of your life in the process usually.

Warrants are generally only used when they want legal permission to bust the door down or if the person has some sort of legal, capital, or political influence.

  • Thanks! I worked for a planetarium and observatory for a few years so I’ve got a script ready for most of the summer and fall sky in the northern hemisphere for my latitude because of how many night sky tours I’ve done.

I’m excited because I’ve finally got a decent pair of binoculars and am joining a group this weekend for an event to test drive them so I’ll be able to check out the pleiadies, just like you say, before they set for the season. It’s always a treat!

  • In addition to what’s mentioned here:

If you can find Orions belt, follow the line it makes to the left and you’ll find the brightest star in the sky, Sirius. Sirius is more than twice the apparent magnitude (how bright it appears to an Earth observer) compared the next brightest star in the sky. It’s a part of the constellation Canis Major, Orions hunting dog. If you look more upwards by about 15° or so, towards the zenith (the topmost point of the sky) you’ll find Canis Minor which is a silly constellation of only two stars, but both are actually fairly bright. The brighter one of the two is named Procyon.

If you follow the line of orions belt to the right (it’s not an exact line like Sirius, but it’s close enough), it will point you towards the red giant, Aldebaran, which is typically depicted as the “eye” of the constellation Tauros the bull and one of the 12 (or 13 depending on who you ask) a zodiac constellations that lie along the ecliptic, the path the sun appears to follow as it moves through the sky. It’s also home to the Pleides star cluster, a bright cluster of 7 stars, which goes by the other names such as the Subaru(the namesake and logo of the car company) and the the Seven Sisters depending on the local folklore.

Orion is very useful for locating the ecliptic, which is necessary for celestial coordinate systems, because of how prominent it is.

  • Nice! Glad you found something that works for now at least. Hopefully something more permanent gets released though. I’m sure modders will find something eventually, but it might take a while.

Like I mentioned, I’m partial to randomizers. It keeps things fresh and the shenanigans can range from trivially easy to downright impossible for some areas. It does get a bit tedious in the beginning of the game if you don’t get a good start and then turns into more of a key item scavenger hunt after a while though.

I’ve had the same experience with SL1 runs because the dlc is just an obnoxious slough of high health enemies and weapon durability management. It kind of stops being fun. Challenge builds for me typically end up being magic or faith builds because I’m more of an unga bunga gamer(specifically dex with curved great swords usually) and it forces me outside of my comfort zone. I don’t like trying to “force” weak weapons to work.

Funny enough I don’t think I’ve ever done a legitimate CoC run either. It’s just not interesting to me because I’d just use it to farm souls where I otherwise couldn’t, which removes the challenge. The ring is really fun for a strong fists build though.

  • It’s been a few years for me, but I didn’t have great experiences with the free options at least when I tried them. Most of the ones I saw ended up being a calendar for progress tracking and/or daily words of encouragement which wasn’t helpful for me personally, but everyone’s journey is different. Some had a social component to connect you with other people trying to make a change in their life or an actual counseling professional, kind of like a traditional 12-step sponsor, but they usually paywalled those features.

If it’s free, give it a shot. You have nothing to lose except for a little bit of time.

apparently I use better grammar, than a person from any English speaking country.

The sheer number of grammatical errors in this entire comment would speak otherwise. In fact, the mechanics, usage, and grammar are actually all incorrect and you write with a similar caliber of legibility to what you’re critiquing here.

As, what I imagine to be, a non-native English-speaker I’m not going to address the structural and mechanical errors, but you should definitely reevaluate how you use commas. Check this link out for basic proper comma usage rules in English. Make sure to pay attention to the sections the dictate rules for parenthetical interruptor statements and non-restrictive or relative clauses.
