After reading this recently, I’m really skeptical about the future of Linux, since everyone seems to be jumping on the train. Are all the people using Wayland arranging their windows every time a program launches, or running a tiling WM?

On my HTPC I have similar problems, Ubuntu is looking to retire X11 support but I rely on an app that allows me to use my smartphone as an input device. Any replacement I see working with Wayland (i.e. literally getting new hardware that would be kept near the TV) would be a downgrade.

I’ve noticed that some pants I’ve tried (as a guy) didn’t have pockets comfortably sized for a modern smartphone. So I didn’t buy any of those.

Ich habe die letzten Nächte immer diverse Fenster über Nacht gekippt gehabt und morgens zu gemacht. Bis auf den Bereich wo man kocht und auf die Veranda raus geht ist auch am Nachmittag noch alles sehr angenehm temperiert.

Realistically, any job that you hire someone with a degree for will require training - the question is how much they’ll understand and at what level the training needs to start.

A certain percentage are just there to pick up a degree to increase their future income. It’s not hard to imagine they’d take any available shortcuts.

As often, we’re simply behind the curve. This one is for mental illness among the youth. Hopefully we’re better equipped to improve the situation.
