  • Ah yes, ring chafing. I put lotion/lube around the ring after I’ve got the cage on. I haven’t bought any special products for this, I just use what I have around the house. One improvement I’ve found recently is a dual-layer method. I have a thick body butter (ie, dense cream) that’s my go-to and that I apply first, but I will sometimes put a water-based lube layer on top of that. I have yet to try to use sandpaper to further smoothen the plastic ring (that’s already pretty smooth from wear). And metals cages are probably better than plastic in terms of chafing.

I succeeded to come on the first attempt with the exposed head and vibrator. I think it was easier than using a vibrator without wearing any cage because the cage is a turn-on for me and the head and frenulum (ie, targets) are conveniently held in place

  • I have similar reasons for non-transitioning: generally real-life considerations versus internal. I’m also about to undertake a career change, have low social support, am not the most socially fluent, am concerned about growing transphobia, don’t want the daily hassles (e.g., public change rooms).

I feel pretty confident that non-transition is the best choice for me right now, but it isn’t by a huge margin - it’s like a 60-40 vote versus 90-10 one.

My strategy for now is to try to to thread the needle between embracing feminine things that make me good and being able to pass as cis-enough. I’m fortunate to have a full head of hair, which I’ve grown out, and I’m working on a nice neat top bun. I love having long hair (most of the time :P)
