If you are at home when the threat of a tornado happens, go to the basement or the most inside room (most walls between you and outside).
But my main reason for posting: IF you are out and encounter a tornado, if you are far enough away to avoid it, avoid it, but if it’s close or if it doesn’t appear to be moving (meaning it’s moving straight for you), then you need to seek a ditch or low ground. A ditch is best - being even slightly below the level of the ground around you GREATLY reduces the wind and debris, which is what will kill you. Something like a culvert can be good, although not so small that a piece of debris could trap you in rising water… but a tornado is typically gone quickly relative to flash flooding.
The myth is that stopping under a bridge is good - even “better” is climbing the slope to hidde under the girders of the bridge. Sometimes you might survive, but people have died - packed in with mud and debris blow by the tornado. This also elevates you more into the windfield, which is bad.
Ideally you don’t want to be close to cars, much less inside them.

I suppose, but it’s everyone else on the internet I’m complaining about, not him. In the rant above, I mean. Obviously I complain about the orange toddler constantly. heh

I have a Brother color laser - was cheap and it just works.

I did tech support for HP DeskJet printers in 1996 - the 600, 600C, and 660C. I had a DeskJet around that time, but that was the last one I got because they started screwing around with the drivers.
Back in the 80s/90s, HP made some great printers. Had a LaserJet 4 that lasted a long long time.
But not long after I moved on to another job - I never bought HP again. And that’s now been a recommendation for literally 30 years.
Do not buy HP!
Also, unless you print a LOT of pictures, don’t buy inkjets. The ink has so many issues. Get a laserjer. Brother is a good simple brand. I have had a Brother color laser since 2018 and it’s still chugging along perfectly. I’m on around my second set of cartridges because I don’t print a lot. But whenever I do print, it’s there and ready to go.
There’s a couple of other brands that are alright, too.
But do not buy HP. Jesus, people, it’s been a full generation of people since this has been true! Nobody should be buying HP inkjet crap!

Sigh. I’m tired of everything being a distraction for everything else. At some point, it’s just more and more evil. Tthey’re not smart enough to play like 8D checkers.
But people gonna think whatever they’re gonna think, I guess. To me, all this IS the distraction from the issues.

This. €6,95/mo and mine has rutorrent set so you can associate magnet links, so I click a magnet link in my browser and it gets sent to the box. It also has Emby on it, so I don’t have to download, I can stream right from the box.

https://www.webhostingtalk.com/ is still a good resource for that. Geared toward discussion about servers rather than just hosting, still, it can help find a decent host. Some fly-by-nighters fly through there… by night, of course.

I won’t say where I rent my servers from so as not to “shill”, but yeah. Good little company run by one old guy, I think. Maybe he has some help, but seems like the rare times I’ve had to contact, it’s probably just him. Totally self-managed, but the prices reflect that and I’ve got a couple of really decent dedicated servers for $25 and $35 per month. Webmin on top and it’s so much better and cheaper than a decade or more ago I was paying $200/mo for equivalent level.

Imgur - $2/mo to get rid of ads. Ads are what causes the app to be crashy. No ads, no crashes. It’s absolutely worth it to me for that price.
¿Por qué no los dos? lol
Excuse me, can we please not perpetuate the negative anti-medication shit against ADHD medicine? Pretty please? Especially not in a place like this?

It’s a tool, like everything else. It’s easy to google wrong info. You can get wrong info from an encyclopedia.
You can even from a dictionary: One thing that slightly annoys me is the change in the spelling of “yeah” such that “yea” is a common alternate spelling - thanks to autocorrect. “Yea” was a word - it’s archaic these days. If you see someone say “Yay or nay” that was “yea or nay”. “Yea” is not the same meaning as “yes” or “yeah”, although it is somewhat similar.
I remember someone quoting dictionary definitions to me to try and “prove” that “yea” meant the exact same as “yeah” or “yes”.
They were wrong.
But the point is: The tool is just a tool. AI is a tool.

You missed:

Unless you put a computer in the vacuum.

I assume that you must adhere to 100% of the terms and conditions of every single thing that has them, then. After all, you agree to those terms and conditions before you use the product.

Well, the Asimov reference was a pleasant surprise in there, just want to say. heh

WRONG. Iran is desert, not jungle, dumbass.
(I hope it’s clear I’m being silly at you. Because I am. Being silly at you.)
/r/redditsniper OH SHIT THEY’VE HIT LEMMY NOW
