Almost all programs that implement some sort of GUI the way XFCE or dwm does are for power users, it’s called being on Linux. The exception here is maybe the latest GNOME release. Hyprland is also for the r/UNIXPORN crowd.

I am so not surprised that people who focus only on aesthetics (by that I mean those behind omarchy and hyprland) would fuck up the most basic things where substance has any importance. Aesthetics is for idiots! I will never want the Linux desktop to take over because of coolness, I want the software that attacks important questions to take over. These reactionaries have proven themselves to be utterly incompetent once again, and they will continue to prove their incompetence because they all lack insight and think of themselves as being god’s chosen ones.

The thing is though that meat is much more of a gamble than consuming plants or fungi. Animals are similar to humans, therefore you get well adapted pathogens in meat processing. It can’t be said that it affects everyone equally, vegans and the rich who can afford privately tested food will come out on top.

You’ll see private entities providing testing for a good price. The “safe” stuff will be affordable for the richest 10%. Fuck the rest, I guess?

UK, Germany, Canada and France have high homelessness rates. Partly because disability pay is low and healthcare costs are minimally made up for. Those in ill health may not be able to find work and land on the streets. These countries do nothing substantial like building housing and implementing pro-tenant reforms to stop it. This is not to say that healthcare is bad, I think healthcare must be socialised like postal services and the fire brigade, but it’s not at all straight forward.
