It’s like covid all over again, horrifying trajectory but we’re gonna act like nothing’s happening and sleep walk right into it it.

It still feels cartoonish that only a few days in soldiers were evacuating fortified bases to go operate out of hotels…

I wonder if Iraq will be first up considering they joined the war on the side of Iran

Why do you think that?

If you go through customs they can try to take your devices. Best to turn off biometrics, use a 10 digit password with all types of characters, delete your private stuff, and fully power off your device before going through.

I understand dismissing it because it sounds outlandish, but I think it’s important to remember these people live a completely different reality from us… they’ve got all they could want at their fingertips and continue to seek more. Elon’s the richest guy in the world, yet he decides to spend time clearly doing hard drugs at the Whitehouse on live tv… Not to mention they trafficked and SA’d children for decades. Morality and ethics were in the rear-view for these monsters long ago. I’m not sure it’s true, but Im not gonna rule it out either.

Especially ironic when you consider the US was cutting deals and angling to try and turn Vietnam into an ally against China. Some recent reports I read basically concluded that Vietnam gave the US silent nods and planned for the opposite all along lol! Looks like consistent backstabbing and manipulative schemes creates fickle partnerships.

Yeah I imagine Iranians and Cubans will remain durably resistant because their neighbors are clear examples of the opposite course. How could you look at Haiti or Iraq and think “we should go that route” ?
Sadly I’ve seen Iranian gusanos respond to the examples of Iraq, Libya, etc with old Persian-Arab racist tropes. They think they’re exceptionally more intelligent and equipped to preserve sovereignty and rebuild later.
(Of course this is after the US leaves the tremendous costs and spoils of war behind them, and let’s Iranians chart a new course happily ever after)

this is what a lifetime of 0 materialism does to people

Yeah because they’re so hated. People were protesting them at their homes and they got fearful. Surely these are signs of a functioning democracy and mutual trust between the representatives and the masses. /s

If China helps Cuba to defeat the blockade by using their manufacturing, infrastructure, and logistics prowess to rapidly solarize Cuba’s grid and attain sustainable energy independence, that would be such an amazing win for socialism.

For most folks its just an escape route from poverty or an unstable home. ive met many people who hate it but chose it because they felt they had no options. Many people in my own family grew up poor and joined for those reasons. Even I contemplated it at one point.

They’re planning a whole revisionist history campaign for the 250th anniversary with pragerU or something, I cant remember where i saw it. It’s a good time to brush up on leftitst histories in the US though to prepare to combat it.

to add to that, a lot of talented people who previously worked on exciting civilian applications are gonna land in the MIC with a stained conscience because thats where the money is still flowing for a lot of those skillsets.

The sad part is they gobbled up the industry, tons of really cool meaningful promising research projects and companies in VR/AR and adjacent fields of technology and software, and then they had to close up shop and lay off a lot of those folks just cause they doubled down and burned resources on the worst ideas nobody wanted or cared for like horizon worlds.

I bet we’re gonna be seeing a lot more of these kinds of photos with so many new cellphones sporting 5-10x zoom or the equivalent of 100-240mm telephoto lenses

It’s to drive home a real mathematical advantage: imagine playing the boardgame “battleship” but one side of the board has 10x as many grid boxes.

Also these fpv drones don’t seem like a solved problem yet, look at all the crazy fishnet defenses being used in the Ukraine war.

Register the transaction / ship for a pass. Ship’s not registered? Launch the drones. Seems like a pretty doable thing.
US agencies are switching gears as we speak, Mormons are out and the Amish are in. They’ve also got the solutions to the energy and fertilizer crisis. Buckle in, it’s gonna be a bumpy ride.
