Can’t you just use your browser to claim them anymore?

You definitely used to be able to claim free games through a browser, I claimed a few on my phone and I’ve literally never had the epic launcher installed on any device.

People who are used to doing actual research and who understand the necessity of things like a peer review process understand how dangerous it is to have something that’s straight up confidently wrong 20% of the time, and yet have people who treat it like the ultimate authority on things. These people have likely seen AI be stunningly stupid in fields they know about and can extrapolate from there that it’s probably stunningly stupid about most things.

I mean Canada at least doesn’t have a special armed paramilitary force that goes around seeking people to deport. If someone is in the country illegally and acting improperly someone will notice and inform the police but as far as I’m aware there’s nobody raiding culturally diverse restaurants seeking to ruin someone’s life.

I have an issue with my laptop on my school’s network, which is likely an issue with the way the network is configured, because I’ve never had the issue on other computers or networks elsewhere, but sometimes my laptop(Linux Mint ThinkPad T490) will stay connected to the network, but say ‘authentication required’ and have no internet access until I reconnect. It also sometimes pops up a password box and asks me to reauthenticate to the network which I do, still using the same saved password. This gets annoying while writing tests that use browser window monitoring software. Like I said, it’s probably an issue with the network but none of the windows or Mac users seem to have this issue so maybe someone has come across something similar or knows how to fix it.

Couldn’t you just replace the old appimage but have the same file name?

Try restarting with a new wine prefix and install the newer vc? I think it’s 2019-2025 or something.

I recommend Connect to everyone. Free, no ads at all, Canadian developer who is super active and has responded to every issue I’ve raised right away and usually fixed it by the next day, tons of customization options, all around the best Lemmy app I’ve used for a number of different reasons.

ICE is not the same thing as CBP (customs and border protection). Getting rid of ICE would not leave your border ‘unprotected’. This kind of ignorant shit is exactly why you Americans are in this fucking situation.

I’ve pretty much seen the opposite. Windows fanboys love to come up with excuses for why they COULDNT POSSIBLY switch to Linux but most of the Linux users I’ve seen are constantly trying to convince people that it’s NOT that intimidating and that you DON’T need to be a super genius or nerd to use it.

The size of the text too omg it’s like one of those children’s leappad things.

Wow it must have been going really fast, the day isn’t even over yet. See if you can keep it rolling.
That’s kind of my point, why would you need that functionality in a console if your tv can already do it. Plus having to keep your cable box or whatever plugged into the console so it has to be on all the time.
How did this work through the Xbox? I know a lot of newer TVs can do this but did you have to route your tv cable through the Xbox to get it to work that way?

That’s the same story you’re commenting on lol.

Digg still exists? How is any of this relevant to the fediverse?

THERE. ARE. NO. MUSKETS!

Yeah SG1 is just consistently awesome. Super fun show that doesn’t take itself too seriously but still tells really thought provoking stories.
No like its a combination of fluids, but some only have a certain percentage of active ingredients. Like if you buy a liter of 97% isopropyl alcohol, it’s 3% water. If you then combine that liter with a liter of vodka (40% ethanol) you have a 2 liters of fluid. In the resulting mixture the percentages still don’t add up to 100. They’d actually half. Your finished product would be 48.5% isopropyl, 20% ethanol and the rest water (assuming its super pure vodka). Because the percentages didn’t describe the amount of each in the final mixture, they described the concentration of ‘active’ ingredient in each individual solution. Idk if that’s clear I think that’s the best way I can explain it though.
That’s actually a good simple fix which hadn’t occurred to me, hopefully it helps with whatever shitty routing problems theyve got going on. I don’t think there’s even an IT guy employed by the school so…
